Jofra Archer was named the Sporting Equals Sportsman of the Year 2020 at the coveted Sporting Equals BEDSAs. After being pivotal to England’s Cricket World Cup victory and having overcome so many obstacles to enter into the elite level of the game it was a truly well-deserved accolade. Read More  The Metropolitan Police has joined in collaboration with Streatham born Internet sensation, author and comedian Humza Arshad to visit London schools, engaging students to raise awareness of the effects that can be exploited and used to draw vulnerable people towards acts of violence.
Police Officers from the Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command’s Local Operations team, together with Humza, will visit 16 schools across eight London boroughs to present and engage with pupils, aged 14 - 18 years’ old. The presentations outline a hard-hitting and thought provoking 12-minute film titled “HATE”. The film was developed in collaboration with Humza, the Metropolitan Police, and partners in YouTube with the final cut having been directed by, and starring Humza, who is known for his ‘Diary of a Badman’ series. “HATE” aims to address the themes of intolerance, gang violence, knife crime, acid attacks, gun crime and radicalisation and extremism in all its forms. Wednesday 29th May 2019: Madame Tussauds London today unveiled their latest figure of Virat Kohli at the Home of Cricket, Lord’s Cricket Ground, ahead of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. Captain of the Indian national team since 2013, Kohli is one of the world’s leading batsmen and a firm favourite among cricket fans the world over. Now, visitors to Madame Tussauds London will be able to see his figure from Thursday 30th May until 15th July 2019 – remaining in the attraction for the duration of the tournament. Pictured for the first time on the iconic cricket ground at Lord’s, the figure is dressed in his official Indian cricket kit as well as shoes and gloves donated by the sportsman himself. From Thursday onwards, Virat’s likeness will be found in the attraction’s sporting area, where he will sit alongside legends such as Usain Bolt, Sir Mo Farah and fellow cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar. British entertainer Magic Singh has been wowing Mumbai’s VIPs this week with a series of outstanding performances. Magic Singh, real name Amardeep Singh Dhanjal, performed at a private event for Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan as well as the much publicised engagement party of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta.
During a private evening at the home of Aamir Khan, Magic Singh, one of the UK’s finest magicians, performed an array of tricks to guests such as cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and Bollywood heartthrob Varun Dhawan. Renowned for his card tricks, he blew them away with a mind-reading trick involving all 3 of them in participation.
