We are thrilled to have supported the launch of Lugma, a stunning and deeply personal cookbook by Noor Murad - an accomplished chef, storyteller, and voice of modern Middle Eastern cuisine. Through a thoughtful press and influencer gifting campaign, we’ve shared Noor’s beautiful work with a wider audience, introducing readers to her vibrant culinary world.

In Lugma - the Arabic word for “a bite” - Noor invites readers to sit at her table and experience over 100 recipes that trace the flavours and traditions of her upbringing in Bahrain. With the warmth of a home-cooked meal and the refinement of a seasoned chef, Noor weaves together traditional dishes and bold reinterpretations drawn from the Gulf, the Levant, Persia, and India.

Recipes like Spring Time Fattoush, Stuffed Baby Aubergines, Slow-cooked Fenugreek Lamb with Pickled Chillies, and Pistachio Cake with Labneh are just a glimpse into the depth of Noor’s culinary heritage. They reflect a journey shaped by family, memory, and the fusion of regional cuisines that define the Middle East.

As the former head of the Ottolenghi Test Kitchen and co-author of Shelf Love and Extra Good Things, Noor’s expertise is well recognized. But it’s in Lugma that she steps forward as a solo voice, offering a heartfelt ode to the food that shaped her. Her roots in Bahrain and her life in London blend seamlessly to create dishes that are both nostalgic and refreshingly new.

Our campaign surrounding Lugma brought this heartfelt book into the hands of key press and influential voices in the food world, helping to amplify Noor’s message: that food is not just sustenance, but connection - between people, cultures, and generations.
We’re proud to have been part of the journey of Lugma and to celebrate Noor’s incredible talent and the diverse culinary traditions she so vividly brings to life.
